Kolombo is inspired by the spirit of Colombo — a city where the ocean breeze slows you down, the lights stretch across the skyline, and the nights feel alive with possibility. It’s a place where dreams begin, and that energy is woven into our name. We added a K to make it ours: Kolombo.
Like the city, our journey started small. First in a garage, then a tiny food‑court kitchen, and slowly, step by step, into the restaurant you see today. That climb shaped us — it taught us grit, generosity, and the value of doing things with heart.
At the centre of Kolombo is Sri Lankan hospitality. Where we come from, feeding people isn’t a gesture — it’s a responsibility. You walk into a Sri Lankan home and you will be fed, even if you insist you’re not hungry. That spirit lives here. Our portions are generous because giving is part of who we are. Quality and quantity go together; one never replaces the other.
Passion drives everything at Kolombo. It doesn’t sit with one person — it lives in every cook, every server, every pair of hands that touches a dish. Our team cares deeply about what they create and how they make people feel. That shared pride is what gives Kolombo its warmth and its soul.
Most importantly, Kolombo is real. Nothing is staged, nothing is polished for show. The sounds, the energy, the way we move in the kitchen — it feels like a Sri Lankan home because that’s exactly what it is to us. Honest. Unforced. Ours.
Every dish, every flavour, every detail comes from who we are — not a concept, not a trend, but a genuine expression of Sri Lankan culture.
This is Kolombo. A dream that grew, a home we built, and a place where our island’s spirit lives on.
Sri Lankan cuisine is a celebration of contrasts — fiery and fragrant, bright and earthy,
crunchy and comforting. Our menu is designed for sharing, inspired by the way we eat
at home.
